Waste Retrievals and Processing
Previous projects involved numerous waste streams being retrieved and processing in the course of decommissioning Magnox sites.
FED Retrievals
This project required a cradle to grave design development to retrieve waste from existing vaults, sort and segregate it and put it into containers for storage. It also included the long term storage facility design and regulatory approval thereof, until such time as a final disposal route could be developed by the client.
Sludge Processing
Sludge was retrieved from existing tanks by others and needed to be transferred into the final disposal containers and conditioned for long term storage. The project required the full design and implementation of the systems used for retrieval and the deployment of a proprietary conditioning system, which also required all the site interfaces being designed and installed.
